Coronavirus (COVID-19) Precautions

The staff at Parkview Orthopaedic Group is observing the CDC’s recommended precautions to help prevent the spread of COVID-19. Our number one priority is the safety of our patients and staff. Some of the measures being taken at all Parkview office locations include:

    • Asking patients who are experiencing any symptoms of illness, including a cough, shortness of breath, or fever, to please stay home. Our office staff will be contacting patients prior to their visits to complete a health screening, and will require that they reschedule their appointments if they are experiencing any symptoms of illness or have had any possible exposure to COVID-19.
    • Requiring employees stay home if they are experiencing any flu-like symptoms.
    • Disinfecting work surfaces several times a day, as well as chairs in the waiting area and exam rooms, elevator buttons, and door handles.
    • Making Purell hand sanitizer available at the front desk and throughout the clinics where appropriate.
    • Asking that all visitors to our facilities wear cloth masks for the duration of their visit.
    • Requesting patients do not bring additional guests to their appointment, other than a primary caretaker.
    • Promoting social distancing in our waiting areas with rearranged furniture, and using floor tape and signage to indicate where patients can safely stand during check-in, registration, etc.

We are asking patients and all visitors to join us in additional efforts, including:

    • Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after going to the bathroom; before eating; and after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing.
    • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth.
    • Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
    • Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash.
    • Avoid shaking hands to potentially prevent transmission.

These precautions are critical in protecting the health and well-being of our patients and staff. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
