Parkview Orthopaedic Group is proud to announce the opening of our Ortho Urgent Care Clinic. As we navigate these challenging times, Parkview remains here to serve all your orthopaedic needs.

The goal of our urgent care clinic is to provide patients immediate attention for their acute injuries without exposing themselves to the potential health risks present in an emergency room or crowded immediate care facility.

HOURS: 9:00 am – 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday
Additional hours may be available by location, but please call outside of these hours to verify.

Do I need an appointment?
No appointment is necessary for our urgent care services. Simply walk-in to our Palos Heights or New Lenox office and let the reception staff know you are there for an urgent care appointment. For expedited service, please feel free to call the number above and let us know you are planning on coming in for an urgent care visit. Patients will be served on a first come, first served basis.

Do you accept all insurance types?
We accept the same insurance plans for our urgent care services that Parkview normally accepts—this includes most commercial insurance, Medicare and Medicare Advantage plans. If you have a question about your insurance coverage, please contact us prior to visiting the office. Make sure you bring your current insurance card with you to your visit! Pre-payment of services will be required for patients without insurance or patients covered by insurance plans in which the office does not participate.

What is the cost? Do I have to pay a copay?
Your visit will be billed exactly as a regularly scheduled office visit at our facility. Cost varies depending on services rendered, but office visit fees will be significantly less than those you would be charged at an emergency room. Your regular specialty office visit copay will be due at the time of your visit.

What are the benefits to visiting your Ortho Urgent Care?
In short, we offer musculoskeletal expertise. When visiting the emergency room or an urgent care for an orthopaedic injury, patients will often be given an x-ray and instructions to follow-up with a specialist. Eliminating this additional visit saves time, is more cost-efficient, and accelerates the recovery process for the patient. We also offer significantly shorter waiting times than an emergency room, and your visit can cost up to 80% less than an ER visit.

When should I come to the urgent care versus scheduling an appointment with my doctor?
Consider visiting our Ortho Urgent Care if you experience an accident, sudden injury, or other acute pain. Sprains and strains, closed fractures, dislocations, minor lacerations, and sudden onset back or neck pain are all examples of injuries we may be able to treat at our immediate care. If you have an ongoing condition or have been consistently treating with one of our providers, you should contact our office to schedule a regular appointment.

Which provider will I see when I come in?
The clinic is staffed by Parkview physicians, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners. You will be treated by whoever is on call at the time of your visit.
