Dr. Amit Parekh

Introduction

Dr. Amit Parekh is a fellowship trained orthopaedic surgeon specializing in spinal surgery. His surgical expertise includes minimally invasive spinal surgery and treatment of osteoporosis and complex adult spinal deformities.

Dr. Parekh obtained his undergraduate degree in 2013 at the Georgia Institute of Technology where he majored in biomedical engineering. Following medical school, Dr. Parekh completed his orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Illinois at Chicago. He then completed a combined Orthopaedic and Neurosurgery Spine Fellowship at the prestigious University of Calgary, where he received exemplary training across the full breadth of spinal surgery.

Dr. Parekh takes a highly personal approach in caring for his patients, with thoughtful decision-making and communication as key cornerstones for delivering optimal care. His unique, advanced training and experience at the University of Calgary has provided him with unparalleled hands-on experience as well as a broad insight into optimal spinal surgical and non-surgical care.
