Medical Technician

Parkview Orthopaedic Group is a multi-specialty orthopaedic practice located in the southwest suburbs of Chicago. We are currently seeking several experienced Orthopaedic Medical Technicians. Your role as a medical technician is to support practitioners and other members of our health care team by gathering patients’ medical histories, taking and recording vital sign information, entering a patient’s medical information into the EHR, and more. Medical assistants are essential to delivering high-quality patient care.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• • • • • Obtain a thorough and complete medical history and enter information into the EHR
        • Prepare patient for examination by recording vitals and updating the patient’s chart
        • Enter physician orders into the EHR and provide orders to patients
        • Assist with casting/splinting, cast removal, orthotic casting, applying and removing dressings, etc., and educate patients on cast care
        • Properly sanitize exam rooms between patients and stock and clean rooms at the end of the day
        • Many other duties as assigned

SKILLS:

• • • • • The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year experience as a Medical Technician, Orthopaedic Technician, or Medical Assistant, with knowledge of health history-taking, cast/splint application, and DME application
        • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (you will be working alongside our physicians, and have consistent interaction with patients)
        • Exceptional organizational skills (clinics are fast-paced and medical technicians must be able to multitask)
        • Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience preferred

HOURS:

Shift times will vary as they revolve around the physicians’ clinics, but all are based on a Monday-Friday 8am – 5pm business day. Hours may be earlier or later, depending on the day.

LOCATION:

We are looking for Medical Technicians to staff all five of our office locations (Palos Heights, Oak Lawn, Mokena, New Lenox and Joliet). Please note your preferred location(s), although some flexibility will be appreciated.

SALARY:

Starting at $16.50/hr., dependent upon experience

Medical Office Call Center Representative

Parkview Orthopaedic Group is a multi-specialty orthopaedic practice located in the southwest suburbs of Chicago. We are currently seeking several Call Center Representatives. Your role as a call center rep is to schedule appointments for our 23 providers. As the first point of contact for new patients and referring physicians’ offices, your role is critical to the success of the practice.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• • • • • Learn appointment scheduling rules for 23 providers (this requires knowledge of their specialties, office locations, hours and more)
        • Schedule appointments in NextGen EMR
        • Collect patient demographics, insurance information, and payment information over the phone
        • Understand and adhere to HIPAA regulations, as you will be dealing with confidential patient information
        • Other duties as assigned

SKILLS:

• • • • • Excellent verbal communication skills
        • Exceptional computer skills, with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience preferred
        • The right individual will be personable, courteous, and patient, as they will be the initial point of contact for visitors to our office
        • Comfortable being stationary and talking on the phone for the entire 8 hour shift

HOURS:

We are looking for full-time employees, who seek a set schedule with hours from 8am – 5pm, Monday through Friday.

LOCATION:

Call Center Representatives may be located in our Palos Heights OR New Lenox office location. Please indicate if you have a preference.

SALARY:

$14-17 per hour, dependent upon experience
