Introduction
Dr. Jamil Kendall joined Parkview Orthopaedic Group in October of 2024. Dr. Kendall is a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon specializing in hip and knee replacements. His expertise includes minimally invasive and muscle-sparing techniques, anterior hip replacements, partial knee replacements, and complex primary and revision surgeries. Dr. Kendall is dedicated to providing personalized care, empowering his patients to return to the activities they love, whether it’s walking without pain, playing with grandchildren, or more rigorous activities like hiking or biking.
Dr. Kendall earned his undergraduate degree from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. He began a short career in the orthopedic device industry before returning to Washington to obtain his medical degree from Howard University College of Medicine, where he was elected to the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society. He completed his orthopedic surgery residency at Oregon Health and Science University in Portland, OR, receiving multiple awards for his leadership, patient care, and research achievements. He further honed his skills during his fellowship at Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush University in Chicago, IL, focusing on primary and revision hip and knee replacement surgery.
Dr. Kendall is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons. His academic contributions include numerous peer-reviewed publications in leading orthopedic journals. He has also presented at numerous national conferences, earning awards for his impactful contributions to the field.
Dr. Kendall believes in building strong relationships with his patients to provide care that best suits their individual needs, whether that involves non-operative treatments or surgical options.
